It is with our five senses: taste, smell, touch, sight and sound, that we know the world.  It is not apparent if a person can't taste or smell, unless they tell us.

But sight and hearing are vital for communicating and navigating through our lives. Exploration of the Senses is a multi-chapter ongoing project by Anna Gustafson

that investigates how each sense on it's own and in combination, contributes to our knowledge base and our ability to communicate.
